Cool Forms with ColdFusion
January 5th, 2008 | posted by adminA solution was needed. In July 1995, ColdFusion, a product from J. J. and Jeremy Allaire, was created. If you read Charles' Introduction, you already know that ColdFusion has a simple tag syntax that's both powerful and easy to learn. And, most important, it provides an easy way to connect to a backend database.
And with this great tool, there are ways to make a new kind of form that is far more dynamic and responsive. The modern form, created with ColdFusion, has five key characteristics:
1. Data awareness
2. Validation
3. Memory
4. Robustness
ColdFusion Tutorial
January 5th, 2008 | posted by adminWhy should you be interested in ColdFusion? As Charles tells all us webmasters, "if business likes it, you love it." And businesses love ColdFusion, because this database-to-Web gateway provides an effective and simple way to make a dynamic Web.
In this three-day tutorial, Charles starts by identifying those who could benefit from using ColdFusion. He then moves on to tackle some of the backend work: identifying a data source on the server and making the modifications needed to get the database ColdFusion-ready.

A Students Guide to Cold Fusion
January 5th, 2008 | posted by adminMy interest in cold fusion began shortly after Profs. Pons and Fleischmann announced their claims in 1989, while I was but an ordinary conventional research scientist working at LANL (Los Alamos National Laboratory). Of the numerous attempts to duplicate the claims, I was fortunate in producing tritium as well as anomalous energy. There is nothing like seeing a phenomenon for yourself to make a person believe that it is real, regardless of what less observant people might claim.
