Magic of Mathematics
Bayesiana Data Analysis
January 26th, 2008 | posted by adminIncorporating new and updated information, this second edition of THE bestselling text in Bayesian data analysis continues to emphasize practice over theory, describing how to conceptualize, perform, and critique statistical analyses from a Bayesian perspective. Its world-class authors provide guidance on all aspects of Bayesian data analysis and include examples of real statistical analyses, based on their own research, that demonstrate how to solve complicated problems.
Engineering and Scientific Computations Using MATLAB
January 26th, 2008 | posted by adminMaster MATLAB step-by-step.
The MATLAB-- "MATrix LABoratory"--computational environment offers a rich set of capabilities to efficiently solve a variety of complex analysis, simulation, and optimization problems.
Flexible, powerful, and relatively easy to use, the MATLAB environment has become a standard cost-effective tool within the engineering, science, and technology communities.
Just In Time Algebra
January 26th, 2008 | posted by adminThis "Cram" series serves the reader who needs to review and learn specific material in a short period of time for the purpose of passing an important test, such as an exit exam, admissions test, vocational exam, or certification exam. In ten streamlined chapters, readers learn the fundamentals of algebra and discover time saving study skills and essential test-taking strategies. Each chapter has special features designed to make studying fast and efficient, including tips on handling multiple choice questions, using a calculator, and easy to remember terms, rules, and shortcuts.

A Problem Course in Mathematical Logic (Stefan Bilaniuk)
December 28th, 2007 | posted by adminA Problem Course in Mathematical Logic is intended to
serve as the text for an introduction to mathematical logic for
undergraduates with some mathematical sophistication. It supplies
definitions, statements of results, and problems, along with some
explanations, examples, and hints. The idea is for the students,
individually or in groups, to learn the material by solving the
problems and proving the results for themselves. The book should do as
the text for a course taught using the modified Moore-method.
A Course in Universal Algebra (by Stanley N. Burris and H.P. Sankappanavar)
December 28th, 2007 | posted by adminUniversal algebra has enjoyed a particularly explosive growth in the last twenty years, and
a student entering the subject now will nd a bewildering amount of material to digest.
This text is not intended to be encyclopedic; rather, a few themes central to universal
algebra have been developed suciently to bring the reader to the brink of current research.
The choice of topics most certainly reflects the authors' interests.

December 28th, 2007 | posted by adminBy "elementary algebra" we mean the material found in American high school and college algebra courses. This material consists of a selection of topics drawn from the broad area of mathematics known as algebra. The material presented in a traditional elementary algebra course is only a small part of the whole body of algebra. Indeed, a traditional course consists of material that was all developed before the mid nineteenth century, while the greater part of algebra was developed in the twentieth century.
